FAQ

Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

A: Great question! Every hat is handcrafted and made to order based on the specifications you choose when designing your own Glam&Grit hat! This takes some careful time to complete every step. The last option on every design is the wait time terms and conditions. Here you will find the current wait time based on the order volume we receive. This is updated to reflect the wait time as needed. In order for us to get started on your hat you must agree to these terms and conditions.  You may cancel or change your order within 24 hours of placing the order. Your hat may not be canceled due to the wait time you agreed upon.  We cannot promise that your hat will be in your hands by a specific date. Some designs take a little longer, felts take longer than straws, shipping time varies, etc.

Q: I ORDERED A HAT FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION AND IT IS NOT HERE. WHAT DO I DO? 

A: Glam&Grit does not guarantee any package to arrive by a specific date. Glam&Grit ships every package by the USPS standard ship times. We guarantee that we will SHIP your item to you with the proper amount of time allotted based on the USPS shipping standards. Once a package is shipped and tracking is provided, Glam&Grit is not responsible for the package. If you would like to return your hat once it is received, that is the customer's choice and Glam&Grit must be contacted. Glam&Grit cannot refund or credit any item that is not in our possession.  

Q: WHAT IF MY HAT DOESN’T FIT?

A: Every design you click on you will find a hat chart with metric measurements. For the best fit you will need to measure your head (where you like your hat to sit) in centimeters. Please note our STRAW hats do have the tendency to run small so we do suggest going up one size. It is always easier to make a hat tighter than it is to make it bigger. We personally like to get ours one size bigger, add adhesive foam (found in Add-Ons) and stick it to the sweatband. This way your hat sits lower to stay on and it makes for a comfortable fit! Our FELTS fit true to size. 

If for some reason your hat does not fit you may return it. When your return is received you will receive a store credit code to use at checkout to place an order for a new hat. The store credit will NOT include shipping and WILL include a restocking fee of 10%. Your hat cannot be returned if you have personalized it with your name. If you do have a bible verse on your hat, we will make an exception based on the popularity of that verse being ordered by past and future customers. You will have 30 days from the time you order is received to send your hat back to us. If your hat has been personalized, autographed, damaged, or worn we will not accept your return and will send your hat back to you. 

Q: CAN MY HAT BE RESHAPED? 

A: YES! You can reshape both felt and straw. Please note that when reshaping any hat, not just ours, you must apply steam. The steam will in no way damage the hat, paint, or crystals! But, with any hat you must be gentle. Our process holds up to shaping without any problems, just go slow. The slower you shape with steam, the better your hat will look! Overtime, straws hats in general will lose their integrity. All of our customers have been wearing our hats for years and still look glamorous!

Q: HOW DOES THE PAINT HOLD UP OVER TIME?

A: Like we mentioned before, our customers have been wearing our hats for years and still look phenomenal! Taking care of your of your hat is key. When you are not wearing your hat please keep it out of direct sunlight and heat for extended periods of time. This will ensure that the hat will stay looking glam for much longer. Please store your hat with the crown side down to ensure your brim stays the exact shape you love all the time.
